Right Arm Review

Well, we’re happy to say that we made it back to the states in one piece. The European tour was a so much fun and we blasted our way across the continent. We started in Kinderdijk in Holland to release our new live CD that we recorded there last May. It’s entitled For the Love of a Friend. After a successful CD release show in Kinderdijk, we traveled to France, Germany, Spain, Belgium and ended with a sold out show at the Paradiso in Amsterdam! We look forward to going back to Europe in August.

We also plan on releasing the live CD here in the states in March, so look out.

We have many festivals and other shows we’re brewing for spring and summer including: Suwannee Springfest, Kingsmen Island Bluegrass Festival, Aiken Bluegrass Festival, Shenandoah Riverside Festival, and Floydfest ……but for now some time at home and then back at it in mid March.

Right on……..

So we made it safely to Europe. We have had eight amazing shows so far. Starting with our first show in Kinderdijk, Holland, where last May we recorded our new live CD/DVD called “For the Love of a Friend - Live in Kinderdijk (NL).” We are proud to say that it looks and sounds wonderful, in our humble opinion.

Tonight’s show is in Madrid! Tomorrow we head off to Cangas (ESP), then Germany! We just want to thank everyone for the great year we are having so far that started with our sold out show in Asheville, NC at the Grey Eagle.

We have a lot in store for Hackensaw Boys fans in the upcoming year: many festivals this spring and summer, a return trip to Europe in August, and recording a new album.  With that said keep your eyes and ears open for the Hackensaw Boys in 2013.  Much love!

Well the end of the year is very near. So far, the Mayans have gotten it wrong. We Hackensaws, are thankful because we still have a winter tour with the legendary Danny Barnes December 27-31st! While our website is down for maintenance, check out our tour schedule here.

We’re also thankful we can head back to Europe for 16 shows in January!   We will be playing Spain for the first time! We also have dates in Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland, and of course our home away from home, Holland.

Speaking of Holland, we are proud to announce a NEW album, For the Love of a Friend - Hackensaw Boys - Live in Kinderdijk. This album was recorded last May while in the beautiful ancient town of Kinderdijk (NL).  This CD will have a special DVD about our time there and why we chose to record in Kinderdijk. Or should I say, Kinderdijk chose us? Regardless, we are proud of the record and we hope you will enjoy it too.  Check out the trailer here.
